There is no Planet B!
On the evening of Wednesday 20th March we ended year 1 of the project with our
There is no Planet B event at The Glad Cafe:
an evening of discussions, talks and performances focused around the climate change crisis.
We also hosted our first monthly climate change community action group meeting.
We were delighted to have 12 people attend the first meeting and can’t wait for the next!
We were delighted that local wordsmith and climate change award winner Johnny Cypher hosting the event.
Equally delighted to have Becci Wallace open the performances with her emotional song about a planet dying,
very apt for our evening and a powerful start!
We were ecstatic to then have Megan Rose join us,
the organiser of the Youth Strike for Climate in Glasgow,
to speak about her journey organising the march and
her experience speaking about climate change to people and policy makers across Glasgow.
Great to hear from young people about their passion and commitment to change!
We closed the show with local signed musician Flew the Arrow
whose songs are very powerful with many having keys messages
about climate change throughout them.
A massive thank you to everyone who performed or attended the event.
Thank you to Martin Windebank for providing the professional photos we used
(thank you to the team for the camera phone additions!)
